In November 1779 in the Guardia del Monte, (name of the fort that would give rise to our town), the missionary priests who travelled the region would leave the Mission Cross and the construction of their first chapel as a sign of their passage.\u00a0<\/p>

Over time the chapel was transformed into a Parish and will have different dedications, such as Our Lady of Remedies, the Divine Shepherdess of Monte and Saint Michael Archangel. It also had various locations over time in different places.<\/p>
